fp: 05.12.23, Choirs of Harrow School/David Woodcock; Harrow School Chapel

Refugee was commissioned by Harrow School and performed by their chapel choirs in their 2023 Christmas services. The text is a sonnet by Malcolm Guite juxtaposed with the Latin Corde Natus. 

It is written for three distinct groups: SATB choir, lower voices semichorus and organ. The work is designed for these groups to be spaced apart, with the two choirs in particular ideally placed a substantial distance from each other.
