Additional Information
This ten minute prelude was commissioned for a youth orchestra festival some years ago, but I felt that it needed thoroughly revising. It has waited until the last four months for that opportunity, and along the way of its second birth, it acquired an ending, (an epilogue?) which tries to encapsulate one of the more positive things that we have experienced in Lock-down: the beauty of bird-song.
