Spaces (2021) was inspired by various kinds of open and enclosed areas in and around London (or any large city).
There are four sections:
Pavilions and Riverside both have some movement, contrasting with the more static Gardens (I was thinking of gardens in the heat of midsummer) and Borderlands ,those areas of wasteland, heath and vacant lots overgrown with shrubbery that one finds on the periphery of any big city.
Spaces was given its 1st performance by the composer on 27th March 2023 at the 1901 Arts Club, Waterloo, London
