Written for the debut album of 6563 Records while in my final year at RCS. This single movement string quartet is in a 5 section, unbalanced arch form going from an opening dominated by open string harmonies, through a winding section inspired by Robert Simpson’s 6th Quartet into an energetic climax before turning back on itself in compressed fashion towards the end.
