The composition was commissioned by the festival Salzburg Biennale for Ute Wassermann, for her solo program voiceXtensions with Michael Vorfeld. The recording was supported by Sound and Music as part of their New Voices 2015 program. The work is tailored to Ute Wassermann’s unique vocal range.
