This is a recording of the first 39 hours of Olitsky (1987), a one and a half million year piece (1,648,171 years, 7 weeks, 6 days, 10:23'33”). Produced for an audio DVD of mp3s from a more accurate computer re-edit, in 1999, of the original ’87 work for four simultaneous tapes.
Environmental music inspired by the paintings of Jules Olitski. (and yes, I have seen the spelling mistake - far too late to do anything about it)
