A lament commissioned by the City of Gloucester for their commemorations of the 1100th anniversary of the death of Æthelflæd, Anglo-Saxon Queen of Mercia.
Text adapted from lines from Guthlac B in the Exeter Book: the Anglo-Saxon poem telling of the deeds and death of St. Guthlac.
