Composed January 2025 to mark the 200th anniversary year the first passenger steam train "Locomotion No.1", built by George Stephenson and his son Robert which departed from Stockton & Darlington Station on 27th September 1825
This song tells the story of primative rail from the coal mines of England and Wales to India, Japan, America and now all around the world people are boarding trains.
Cornishman Richard Trevithick invented the first steam train in 1804. The world owes these great Englishmen a huge debt of gratitude.
