Additional Information
‘High and Low’ is a composition that explores the passage from one tone to another. It is a movement from clarity into obscurity. Caroline de Lannoy has created a world where everyday life is revealed and then hidden. The highest tone acts to bring attention to what is obscure, or concealed by the darkness tone, and paradoxically what is illuminated seems to be complexly layered – beyond clarity. Caroline explores soundscapes that are rife with paradoxes: promises and failures, utopian desires and complicated realities.
‘High and Low’ is written, composed, produced and performed by Caroline de Lannoy.
