Piece in 3 Tempi was originally written for flute, vibraphone & guitar. This version is for violin, viola & 'cello.
An arrangement of a 13th century Ductia, the 3 tempi are: violin dotted 1/4 note MM 120, viola dotted 1/2 note MM 60 & 'cello 1/4 note MM 180. Both the violin & viola play in 6/8 time and the 'cello in 3/4 time throughout.
