William Adam Chongo Doran is a Zimbabwean born avant garde afro jazz composer he excels on multiple horns playing the whole brass family . The Principle Instrument is trumpet and its counterparts. He also utilises samplers,fx units , synths and tape loops and various non western and early period instruments in his compositions including the duduk,cornettino ,chalemeau and flute .

He Also Works with 2 independent labels Rata sorda and cosmic compositions where he releases music under different Alias.

William has studied extensively jazz and classical composition as well as Budima music giving a unique approach to his pieces. alongside the usage of improvisation. There is an abundance of notated and graphic scores also compositions using his transcendental technique which uses memory palaces and various other techniques for memory to compose.

He runs the experimental avant garde label ruach tones and the roster of artists where he is resident composer. He Also specialises in Antique instruments and period playing amassing a collection of antique instruments that date back to the romantic period.
