Three States of Detachment was written in 2021 at a time when I became interested in Zen and Taoist philosophy.
The three movements are: 1 Karumi (Lightness) 2 Wabi (the Spirit of Povertry) and 3 Sabi (Contented Solitude)
The work was given its 1st performance by the composer on 19th September, 2024 at St John's Church, Harrow-on-the-Hill.
