Canueon Taliesin is a three-movement trumpet sonata and is inspired by the stories about Taliesin, the great Welsh poet. Whilst the music is not programmatic, it does try to embody and express the characteristics of Taliesin, be it shape-changing, mysticism, romance, bravery or simply pure mischievousness.
