My name is Ro Hancock-Child, born 1957, I'm based in the United Kingdom.

I studied MUSIC at the University of Oxford 1976 - 79.

I began composing music when I was 40 years of age, after enjoying 20 years as a concert pianist and recording artiste.

As a woman (with family responsibilities) I don't have the opportunity to write extended pieces, so I concentrate on producing short piano pieces, short instrumental works with piano, and songs for voice and piano.  I often group the pieces together in sets, to create a larger item. My piano piece LEO was included on the exam syllabus for Trinity/Guildhall (Grade 7).
