Biography
Andrew Thomas is a conductor, flautist and singer. In addition to more than 10 years experience working with young people in an educational environment, his music has been performed at festivals and concert halls throughout the UK and Europe by ensembles including BCMG, Construction Site Ensemble, Britten Sinfonia, Kokoro, Schubert Ensemble and Orkest de Ereprijs. Recent commissions have included works for Chroma, the London Sinfonietta and the London Chamber Orchestra. In 2015/16 Andrew completed the Jerwood Opera Writing Scheme with Aldeburgh Music, was a Portfolio composer with Sound and Music and took part in Britten Sinfonia's OPUS2016
