Thomas Foster
Biography
Thomas Foster is a composer-performer from Dorset and a Royal College of Music alumnus. After working across performance, installation, and commercial projects, including performing at IKLECTIK, a sound installation at Photobook Café, and a commission for Vogue, he is now returning to his saxophone origins as his central focus.
The recent tracks Coming Into Being and Recalcitrant explore the instrument as a self-contained sound world, performed with loop pedal, resonant electronic distortion, and key click percussion. The experimental vision draws on influences stretching from Steve Reich’s rhythmic structures to Arca’s gritty electronic landscapes, reimagined within a deconstructed saxophone context.
