Taylor Nuttall

Biography

Since relocating to Dumfries & Galloway, Taylor has concentrated on improvisation, using software‑based modular systems and iPad performance tools alongside Ableton Live. This focus typically yields ambient, generative soundscapes. He also performs with Sonic Labs, an improvisational collective based at The Stove in Dumfries.

Taylor Nuttall is a composer, artist, and sound designer who deliberately avoids confining himself to any single genre. Underlying all of his creations are recurring themes of environment, sustainability, and climate change.

With a background as a practicing artist, educator and in commercial enterprise, Taylor has previously worked as an artist nationally, internationally and on-line, taught Multimedia Arts Practice in a wide range of institutions, worked as a freelance developer and was a founding partner in setting up a dotcom company.
