Biography
Paulina Wacławik (born in Kraków, Poland) is a composer and researcher. She is affiliated with the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Cultures at the University of Leeds. She graduated from the London College of Music and the Jagiellonian University, and completed postgraduate studies at the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw.
Her creative output includes orchestral, chamber and solo works, as well as music for theatre and cultural institutions, including productions at Teatr Groteska in Kraków and the National Museum in Kraków. She is a member of the Royal Musical Association (UK) and the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music.
Paulina Wacławik is the recipient of the European Classical Music Award, the European Innovation Music & Film Award, the University of Leeds AHC Faculty Research Dissemination Award, and a scholarship from the Leucorea Foundation (Germany). She also received First Prize in the Original Composition category and First Prize in the Film Music category at the UK International Music Competition. She is also the author of academic publications and regularly presents her work at international conferences.
