Harry Matthews
Biography
Harry Matthews (b.1994) is a composer and pianist that explores listening and reacting to noise pollution. His works have been performed across the UK and featured as an emerging UK composer in Montreal, Canada. He has worked with plus minus ensemble, Workers Union Ensemble, Juliet Fraser, Tom Jacon, Line Upon Line, Paramirabo, Benny Clark and Kreutzer Quartet. As a performer, he is pianist and co-musical director of OUT-TAKE Ensemble and performers as a duo with Ben Jameson (Guitar).
Harry studied at the University of Southampton with Benjamin Oliver & Matthew Shlomowitz. In 2018, he was awarded AHRC to study a PhD in composition with James Saunders at Bath Spa University.
