A graduate from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (BA, MA cum laude - Music Composition) and the "G.B. Martini" Conservatory of Bologna (BA Hons - Music for the Media), Giulia Monducci (b. 1981) studied with Azio Corghi (Royal Philharmonic Academy, Bologna), Pierluigi Billone, Stefano Gervasoni and Salvatore Sciarrino (Accademia Musicale Chigiana, Siena).
Her music has been performed at international festivals and venues, such as the ABC Iwaki Auditorium (Melbourne), Ankara Music Festival, Chigiana International Festival (Siena), De Munt (Brussels), deSingel (Antwerp), Festival 5 Giornate (Milan), impuls Festival (Graz), KlaraFestival (Brussels), International Festival of New Music (Almaty), Jaqueline du Pre Music Building (Oxford), KALV Festival, Klarafestival Brussels, LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (New York), Ljubljana Festival, London New Wind Festival, Lviv Philharmonic, Mantova Chamber Music Festival, Sheldonian Theatre (Oxford), Schönbrunn Palace (Vienna), Theatre Pavillon (Luzern), Wroclaw Philharmonic Concert Hall, by ensembles like BL!NDMAN, Klangforum Wien, Norrbotten NEO, Quartetto Prometeo, Ukho Ensemble Kyiv, among others.
Her works have been awarded at international contests in Australia, Belgium, France, Italy, the UK and the US, and broadcasted on national radios across Europe (RTV, DRS, VRT, etc.).
She is currently a PhD candidate in Music at the University of Oxford.
