Alec Rowley
Biography
Alec Rowley (1892-1958) was an English composer, organist and pianist born in London on March 13 1892. He studied at the Royal Academy if Music in 1908 and went on to win many prizes as a student for composition. In 1920 he started lecturing at Trinity College for Music. Many of his compositions are aimed towards amateur musicians but he also has a small repertoire of larger-scale orchestral pieces.
